Happy Halloween!

We had a dragonfly in our mist this past week. Virginia helped Grandma carve her pumpkin last Sunday and dressed up for visiting the neighbors Wednesday. She discovered that we had been holding back chocolate from her for the past 20 months. I think she liked it :)

Welcome Laurel Aileen

Today we welcomed Laurel Aileen to our extended family! She was born at 9:18 AM, weighed in at 7 lb 9.8 oz and was 20.5 inches long. She, Jennifer and Jeremy are all doing great. Laurel is adorable and starting to look like her big sister Amelia. Virginia loved seeing the baby and really wanted to touch her... she practiced at breakfast before leaving for the hospital. She and Amelia had a fun time at the grocery store this afternoon too.

Visitors!

This past month has been filled with family visits here in Wolfeboro and in Vermont. In September we all watched Dan and Maria run "Reach the Beach" from Cannon Mt. to Hampton Beach. Virginia loved watching and cheering as they ran past. Aunt Sandra, Uncle John, Aunt Charmion, and Uncle Val all came up to cheer and to celebrate Mom and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary.

Liz came for a weekend visit in October and we enjoyed a day over the Columbus Day holiday in Vermont to see Taylor's family. Virginia had a great time playing with Mckayla and the cows in the yard.

We have also been enjoying visits from a large flock of turkeys that travel through our yard at least 2 times a day. Virginia gets a kick out of seeing them in our garden.

Happy Anniversary to Jen and Jeremy! Only 12 more days until baby Osgood's arrival

NC Vacation

I finally did it! Sorry about the very late posting of our OBX vacation. but now that it is fall we can all look back at summer again.

We had a wonderful trip to the beach with the McClintics and Baileys on the first week and my family on the second week. The kids loved playing with eachother - jumping in the pool, eating sand at the beach and dancing the night away. It was great to sit, relax, and catch up with family and friends too. Good thing Amelia came the second week or Virginia would have been really sad that her friends had left. The trip was extra special because we were also able to visit with Rachel, Maude, Liz, Charmion, Monique, and Grandma. Too bad I don't have a picture of our flat tire on the way home, but it was the only thing that went wrong on vacation - cancelling a trip to see college friends Becky and Tracy and their kids on the way home. Overall, it was a spectacular vacation and we can't wait to do it again. Besides, turning 30 is a bit easier when celebrating with friends at the beach!

Storyland

This past Friday we made a trip up to Storyland with Virginia's cousin Amelia and Jennifer along with several other friends and their children. Virginia had a great time running around checking out the little houses like Little Miss Muffit's house, playing in the balls, riding the carousel and hanging out with her friends.
