Virginia and her cousins

We had a great trip out to see Christine, Joe, Ian, Sidney and Shelby last week. Virginia loves her cousin Ian who she chased around most of the time. She also had a great time looking at the twins, patting their heads and rocking them in their bouncy seats. We had a lot of fun trying to figure out which baby was Sidney or Shelby... they really look alike!
It was Granddad's birthday when we got back... Virginia once again showed us how much she likes cake and ice cream! Happy Birthday Granddad.

Happy 1st Birthday Virginia!

Virginia is one year old today! We can hardly believe how fast this year went by and how wonderful it was. Virginia is an incredible gift in our lives and we can't imagine life without her. We celebrated yesterday afternoon with some of her friends and we discoved how much she loved chocolate cake!

Just for comparison here is a picture of Virginia one year ago right after she was born.

We love snow!

With the snow we received the last few weeks, Virginia has been enjoying time outside in the snow. She went sledding and cross-country skiing with us the last couple of weekends. Virginia has a great time bouncing in the backpack and urging us to go faster when we are trying to go uphill on the cross-country skis. As you can see we look more tired than she does at the end of the day.

Messy eater

Virginia is becoming more adventurous with her food these days. The spaghetti was a big hit... not only was it fun to eat and make a mess on the highchair, but it was fun to watch drop to the floor. We need a dog!

Virginia's visits

Virginia has had a busy social schedule the last couple of weeks. Here are some of her highlights. A visit from Aaron and Jen when they were up skiing in Vermont. A visit from Beth and Samuel for the day. Virginia and Samuel showed us their love of reading. (I should hope with a librarian Grandmother!) Then Amie and Curtis came for breakfast today. Virginia and Curtis had a great time playing together and Virginia really liked trying to push Curtis on the walker. It is hard to believe one year ago today was Virginia's due date... my how life has changed in a year!
